The Washington County Museum takes its mission to make history come alive through programs such as the monthly Crossroads Lecture Series, youth activities like Family Day, and Scout Days, and community and classroom programs such as the Touching History Mobile Museum.
The Museum is a partner with Print Arts Northwest. Every other month a new exhibit is unveiled on the third Thursday. In addition to talented local artists, exhibits often display international works across the entire spectrum of printmaking techniques including etching, block printing, linocuts and lithography.
Two special events, A Taste of Washington County and the annual fundraising Gala, are held every year. “A Taste” is held in June to recognize supporters and to present the Museum’s award for outstanding community service.
The Gala entertains participants with a gourmet dinner, live music, dancing, and silent and oral auctions to raise money for ongoing outreach as well as special events and Museum improvements.
