Explore Washington County’s pioneer heritage with this series of four, individual day camps. Participants can register daily, or for the whole week.
December 30 – Wagon Trail
Head west, young person! As you enter camp, you will get a bid on your wagon, learn how to pack it and participate in challenges that simulate crossing the trail.
December 31 – Homesteading
Congratulations! Your wagon made it to Oregon. Work with fellow campers to build a homestead and complete daily tasks expected of pioneers, including hanging out the wash, candle
dipping & food prep.
January 2 – Village Life
Practice the occupations of early villagers, including trading with neighbors, making goods, discovering pioneer fashions and other aspects of early town life.
January 3 – School Days
Discover life inside a pioneer classroom circa 1880. Try writing with a quill & ink, on a slate, and competing in a spelling bee. Play pioneer games and make one to take home with you!
