Read more about what your donation makes possible:
Field trips for elementary schoolchildren
Did you know that most schoolchildren only get one field trip a year? Those in Title I schools often get none at all. Your donation of $250 pays for one school bus for two classes.
We charge $85 for a Mobile Museum visit, but the true cost of one visit is $200. Your gift makes up the difference.
Our collections require careful handling and lots of TLC. Environmental controls, Museum quality storage materials and specialized treatments are costly (but worth it). Your gift of $100 help keep one artifact in tip-top condition.
We offer FREE monthly Family Days because, even at just $6 for adults and $4 for children, a day at the museum can be expensive for a family of four. A gift of $1,000 underwrites admission for 50 families.
Double your cultural support at no cost!
Match your gift to the Museum with a gift to the Oregon Cultural Trust and your entire Trust gift becomes a tax credit on your Oregon tax return, up to $500 for individuals and $1,000 for couples filing jointly. To make your matching gift, or for more information, go to www.culturaltrust.org/give.

For more than 60 years, the Washington County Museum has played a vital role on Oregon’s cultural stage. It is in a unique position to help our community bridge differences to become an environment that embraces and celebrates diversity. By serving as an archive, a genealogical resource and an interpreter of our shared history, the Museum can help us use the past as a lens through which to view and understand our present
Building on the successes of our own past and learning from our challenges, the Museum has expanded to include a second facility in downtown Hillsboro. By relocating and expanding the galleries and community service areas to the Hillsboro Civic Center Plaza Building, the Museum has added needed and upgraded space for exhibits and education facilities. This site allows for larger exhibit space (13,000 SF), increasing hands-on community activity areas, new program expansion opportunities and enhanced visibility to the community.
To continue serving the people of Washington County, sparking imagination, honoring our collective history and providing opportunities for reflection and learning, we need strong support from you, our local businesses.
The Museum’s Business Members are a select and valued group of donors, including both individuals and businesses. They support the Museum at a level that makes an impact. In recognition, a wide range of benefits including privileged access to events and exhibits, insider information and tickets to exclusive social events.

Past leaders – Native Americans, pioneers, farmers, loggers, lumbermen, inventors, visionaries and dreamers – have shaped the land and livelihood through their special contributions. Now you can help us preserve their legacy while creating one of your own.
