Hillsboro Civic Center and home of the Washington County Museum.Washington County Museum offers a gateway to the historical and cultural resources available in the Tualatin Valley and the western Portland Metro area at our two locations.

The Washington County Museum offers a wide range of exhibits, educational programs and activities, and events.

We offer many tour packages, special events, and activities for families, groups, and schools and classes to the museum. Our family events include Family Day events, Scout Passport Days, Birthday Parties, and Museum Camps during school breaks and summer.

Admission: Admission is $6 for adults and $4 for youth (3-18), seniors (60+), college students and veterans/military with ID.

Parking: The Hillsboro Civic Center Plaza Building is free for two-hour visitor parking in the concrete parking garage located catty-corner to the Museum on S 1st Avenue and SE Washington Street. The first and second floors of the garage allow for free parking for two hours, the commuter parking above for longer.

Please note: By entering the Washington County Museum, all staff, guests and volunteers grant permission to the Museum and its agents to utilize any visitor’s image, likeness and/or sound recordings for the purpose of marketing and promoting the museum whatsoever in perpetuity.

Hours: The research library is open by appointment only between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. To make an appointment, please contact the library at

Parking: The college requires parking permits Monday through Friday for all vehicles parked on campus outside of the designated Museum spaces. Permits are $5 and are available at the drive-through kiosk located along the main entrance drive.

Weather-Related Closures

In the event of adverse weather conditions, the Museum must adhere to the decision of PCC authorities. If PCC’s Rock Creek Campus is closed for the day, opens late or closes early due to inclement weather or other factors, the Museum must follow the same schedule. PCC sends unscheduled closure notifications and updates to local television and radio stations, so be sure to check local listings.
