Washington County Museum offers a gateway to the historical and cultural resources available in the Tualatin Valley and the western Portland Metro area at our two locations.
We offer many tour packages, special events, and activities for families, groups, and schools and classes to the museum. Our family events include Free Family Day events, Scout Passport Days, Birthday Parties, and Museum Camps during school breaks.
We highly recommend using the TriMet Trip Planner for your visit to the museum or Research Library.

In the event of adverse weather conditions, the Museum will post closing notices on the website and our Facebook page. In general, the Museum will adhere to the following plan:
- The Museum’s Exhibits and Education space in downtown Hillsboro will follow the Hillsboro School District’s closures.
- The Museum’s Research Library and Archives located on the PCC Rock Creek campus must adhere to the decision of PCC authorities. If PCC’s Rock Creek Campus is closed for the day, opens late or closes early due to inclement weather or other factors, the Museum must follow the same schedule. PCC sends unscheduled closure notifications and updates to local television and radio stations, so be sure to check local listings. In addition, a notification recording can be reached at 971-722-6111, or toll free at 1-866-922-1010.
