Thanks to the generosity of Linda and Wayne Gisel who donated this historic conestoga wagon replica to the Washington County Museum. It had been carefully disassembled last September before we moved to PCC Rock Creek, then stored in our climate controlled facility, and finally reassembled by a magnificent crew of volunteers and staff this morning. We are so happy to have this amazing teaching tool back in action. Come visit the museum and climb into the wagon to imagine what life was like on the Oregon Trail.
Big thanks to the install crew: Linda and Wayne Gisel, Kerry Brady, Dirk Knudson, Blake Brooks, Kyle Clark, and the museum’s own Liza Schade!
