Special Exhibit at the Willamette Heritage Center

Bracero. The Washington County Museum is proud to be a part of a new collaborative exhibition featuring 13 other organizations entitled, “Arrival: Stories of Migration, Immigration and Journeys in the Mid-Willamette Valley.” We have contributed a condensed version of the exhibit, “Americans-All: The Bracero Program in Washington County,” about skilled Mexican laborers who traveled to Oregon farms during WWII through an agreement between Mexico and the United States during a massive labor shortage.

If you’re in the Salem area, we encourage you to check out this enlightening exhibit between January 27 and April 21. For more info: https://www.willametteheritage.org/arrival/
