A Summer Wrapped in Quilts EXTENDED!

The Quilt Show has been so popular we’re extending it through the end of September!  “Timeless Stitches” features historic quilts from our collection paired with contemporary quilts of the same design.  Our oldest quilt hanging dates from 1860 and is truly a treasure!

Through the end of the show, featured quilts from Washington County Quilters will continue to rotate into and out of the show.  Every week a new set of quilts is hung and the previous featured quilts are removed.  We’ve rotated the work of 9 quilters so far with several more to go.   With the featured quilts, on any given day you see well over 40 quilts always on display.

One more Community Show and Tell/Bed Turning  is scheduled for August 23rd 1:00-3:00 PM.  We invite our visitors to bring some of their favorite quilts beginning at 1:00 PM.  We spread them out on big tables and pile them up.  Then each person tells the story of the quilt as we turn each back and show it off.  It’s been lots of fun, we’ve enjoyed seeing wonderful quilts and hearing the stories behind the stitches!

There is still time to purchase a raffle ticket to win the beautiful Nine Patch Quilt made by Joann Tannock and quilted by Marci Yoder of Stitchery Stitchery Do.  Tickets are $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00.  They are available at the admission desk.
