A Message from the Board of Directors
Soon, the WCHS board of directors will launch an aggressive search for a new executive director. Mark Granlund, the executive director for the previous seven years, resigned his position April 25. Mark made many important contributions to the museum and its growth. We will miss his vision and enthusiasm.
The board will be seeking an individual with a good balance of fundraising ability, management skills, and creative ideas for future growth. In the interim, the board of directors has a management plan in place with each of its members overseeing a portion of museum operations. We have fantastic staff at the museum who are keeping all programs running. We're very fortunate to have them.
The board is grateful for the many expressions of support it has received from the society's stewards and other community leaders in recent weeks.
